While filing your tax returns, you might come across these common terms – PAN, TAN, and TIN. When you begin working or incorporating a new business, it would be important for you to be familiar with these terms. Before understanding how Fellow Tax supports you on this journey, let’s discuss these services briefly.
A permanent Account Number is dedicated to every taxpayer. This is a 10-digit number provided by the Income Tax Department to everyone who either pays taxes or carries out any kind of financial activities. PAN is often used as proof of identification for tax arrears, tax payments, and tax returns.
Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number identifies every corporation, company, or individual who has to streamline its TDS collection and deduction. This number is allowed by the Income Tax Department and consists of 10 characters – four alphabets, five numbers, and an alphabet (in this format only). When you are working on any TCS or TDS-related document, it is important to provide the TAN number.
ROC (Registrar of Company) is an association incorporated for businesses. Under the Companies Act, 2013; every company has to provide an annual filing. The company has to inform ROC regarding any change occurring in the company, such as name, object, or AoA changes. The company also needs to file various forms and is liable for every agreement, annual return, and more.
